Waiting area at M.E.V. Specialist Hospital, Wuse 2, Abuja

A first visit to a new hospital can feel like a lot to take in. Here is what happens when you come to M.E.V. Specialist Hospital, so you know what to expect before you arrive.

Finding us

We are at No. 6 Djibouti Crescent, off Freetown Street, in Wuse 2, Abuja. We are open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including public holidays. Use the directions link on our contact page to open the route in Google Maps.

What to bring

  • A form of identification.
  • Any previous test results, scans or discharge letters.
  • A list of medicines you take, or the packets themselves.
  • Your health insurance or HMO details, if you have them.

When you arrive

Our front desk will register you and open your patient file. If you booked online, we will already have your details and the clinic you chose. A nurse will then check your vital signs, such as your blood pressure, temperature and weight, before you see the doctor.

Seeing the doctor

Your doctor will ask about your symptoms and medical history and examine you. Take your time and ask questions; it often helps to write them down before you come. If you need a specialist, we will refer you to the right clinic in the hospital.

Tests and medicines

Our laboratory, X-ray and ultrasound are all on site, so most tests can be done during the same visit, and results go straight to your doctor. Our in-house pharmacy can dispense your prescription and explain how to take each medicine.

After your visit

Your doctor will tell you when to come back and what to watch out for. If anything changes or worries you, come back or call us; we are open around the clock.

Ready to come in? Book an appointment online and we will call you to confirm.
